CIS completely manufacture and repair a number of high-pressure cold ends for a range of pumping applications.

All cold ends can be matched with corresponding power ends. Please follow the link here to the power end page.

Below is a list of the most frequently requested cold ends, however we have a database of many others. Please contact us if your cold end is not on this list, or you would like a modified cold end.

Oil Field Cold Ends

CR1125

The CR1000 Cold End is an oil industry standard cold end for use with 1.38″ stroke pumps and requires a boost pump. This cold end is similar to  CS&P and Hydrarig 1.250″ Cold Ends.

Piston Diameter: 1.25″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 15,000 PSI (1034 Bar)

Typical Rate (3 cyl): 2000 SCFM (57 NM3/Min.)

CR2125

The CR2125 Cold End is an oil industry standard cold end for use with 0.905″ stroke pumps and requires a boost pump.  It is similar to GMPD  1.250″ Cold Ends.

Piston Diameter: 1.25″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 10,000 PSI (690 Bar)

Typical Rate (3 cyl): 1500 SCFM (42.5 NM3/Min.)

CR4162

The CR4162 Cold End is an oil industry standard cold end for use with 1.375” stroke pumps and requires a boost pump.  It is similar to a CS&P or Hydrarig 1.625″ Cold End

Piston Diameter: 1.625″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 10,000 PSI (690 Bar)

Typical Rate (3 cyl): 3000 SCFM (85 NM3/Min.)

CR5125

The CR5125 Cold End is similar to GUPD 1.25″ Cold End.  It is used with well service pumps. This cold end requires a boost pump.

Piston Diameter: 1.25″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 15000 PSI (1034 Bar)

Typical Rate (3 cyl): 2000 SCFM (57 NM3/Min.)

CR5162

The CR5162 Cold End is an oil industry standard cold end for use with 1.375” stroke pumps and requires a boost pump.  It is the equivalent of a GUPD 1.625″

Piston Diameter: 1.625″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 10,000 PSI (690 Bar)

Typical Rate (3 cyl): 3000 SCFM (85 NM3/Min.)

CR5200

The CR5200 Cold End is similar to GUPD 2″ Cold End.  It is used with well service pumps. This cold end requires a boost pump.

Piston Diameter: 2.00″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 6000 PSI (428 Bar)

Typical Rate (3 cyl): 5000 SCFM (142 NM3/Min.)

CR6252

The CR6252 Cold End is an oil industry standard cold end for use with 2.25″ stroke pumps and requires a boost pump.  It is similar to a Cryomec 2.52″ (64mm).

Piston Diameter: 2.52″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 10,000 PSI (690 Bar)

Typical Rate (3 cyl): 11000 SCFM (311 NM3/Min.)

CR710

The CR710 Cold End is typically used for oil field applications pumping up to 11,000 PSI. This cold end requires a boost pump.

Piston Diameter: 1.0″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 11,000 PSI (760 Bar)

Typical Rate (1 cyl): 500 SCFM (14.16 NM3/Min.)

Typical Rate (2 cyl): 1000 SCFM (28.32 NM3/Min.)

CR712

The CR712 Cold End is typically used for oil field applications on 5000 PSI units. It requires a boost pump.

Max. Discharge Pressure: 6000 PSI (413 Bar)

Typical Rate (1 cyl): 500 SCFM (14.16 NM3/Min.)

Carbon Dioxide Cold Ends

CD100

The CD100 Cold End is used for carbon dioxide only.

Piston Diameter: 1.37″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 2175 PSI (150 Bar)

Typical Rate (1 cyl): 1.5 – 2 US Gallons Per Min. (5.6-7.5 Litres Per Min.)

Vacuum Jacket Cold Ends

CRV212

The CRV212 Cold End is typically used for cylinder filling air gases.

Piston Diameter: 1.2″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 6000 PSI (413 Bar)

Typical Rate (1 cyl): 150 -300 SCFM (4.25-8.5 NM3/Min.)

CRV410

The CRV410 Cold End is typically used for high pressure nitrogen testing.

Piston Diameter: 1.0″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 11,000 PSI (760 Bar)

Typical Rate (1 cyl): 150 SCFM (4.25 NM3/Min.)

CRV412

The CRV412 Cold End is typically used for oil field applications on 5000 PSI units. It is vacuum insulated and does not require a boost pump.

Piston Diameter: 1.2″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 6000 PSI (413 Bar)

Typical Rate (1 cyl): 1000 SCFM (32.25 NM3/Min.)

CRV825

The CRV825 is typically used for purging operations with a steam vaporiser. It is vacuum insulated and does not require a boost pump.

Piston Diameter: 2.5″

Max. Discharge Pressure: 1500 PSI (104 Bar)

Typical Rate (3 cyl): 8300 SCFM (572 NM3/Min.)

  • The CR3150 Cold End which is similar to Cryomec 1.500″ Cold End.  It is used with well service pumps.
  • The CR6200 Cold End is similar to Cryomec 2″ Cold End.  It is used with well service pumps.
  • The CR7060 Cold End is similar to a Linde HP 60 Cold End.  It is used with Halliburton well service pumps.
  • The CR7075 Cold End is similar to a Linde HP 75 Cold End.  It is used with Halliburton well service pumps.
  • The CR8200 Cold End is similar to the LMPD 2″. It is used with CS&P and ACD Power Ends.
